The S&T Department have been carrying out preparatory work at Wharf station in readiness for planned rebuilding works. This has involved providing new telephone cable routes to various locations around the site that avoid the bits of the building that will be demolished.Brynglas loop has been removed in readiness for planned relaying; work has also been carried out on the firebox of loco No. 1 "Talyllyn".
