The ex-MoD brake van (acquired for engineering service through the generosity of a member) has been regauged but further work is required before it can be used. Work is in progress on regauging and making usable the two ex-MoD bogie flat wagons. The intention is that these should release the ex-Bowaters bogie wagons for maintenance.

Progress has been made with clearing the platform-height storage area alongside the works headshunt preparatory to digging it out to provide room for an extra siding.

On Saturday 6th. July the rear spring on Loco 6 "Duncan" broke inside the buckle. The engine returned light to Pendre having worked the 1030 train. Replacing this spring involves removing the ashpan from the engine, so Loco 2 "Dolgoch" was steamed in a hurry. Diesel loco 9 brought the 1355 train from Wharf to Pendre where No. 2 took over.
