2008 Santa Specials
December 13th, 14th, 20th to 24th
 Your journey starts at our terminal station at Tywyn Wharf. There is a convenient free car park over the bridge off Neptune
Road.
Reserved seats will be waiting for you on our steam locomotive hauled Santa
Special to "Plas Nadolig".
Each child will meet Santa and receive a present suitable for their age. There is time for photographs with Santa in the idyllic setting of "Plas Nadolig".
The steam train will then return you to Tywyn Wharf where a seasonal treat
awaits. The spacious new café will offer a range of complimentary
seasonal refreshments.
The whole Santa Experience will take just over three hours.
Two Santa Specials will run on each day,
apart from December 24th when there will be 3 return trips.
Carol Train
Saturday December 13th
This special train leaves Tywyn Wharf Station at 7pm, and runs to Abergynolwyn, where the Band will entertain you with a selection of Christmas Carols for you to join in.
Refreshments will be available, before your atmospheric return trip to Tywyn, which will leave Abergynolwyn at 9.15pm.
Advance booking for this popular train is highly recommended.
Spirit of Christmas
Tuesday and Wednesday December 23rd and 24th
 Seasonal train
ride and buffet. Forget the hustle and bustle of modern life, and treat
yourself to a nostalgic ride behind a coal fired steam locomotive, recalling
the spirit of Christmas past, when the pace of life was more leisurely.
See the beauty of the winter countryside from the comfort of your carriage
on this full return trip.
The train will start from Tywyn Wharf at 11.40, run to Nant Gwernol and back
to Wharf for a complimentary buffet in our spacious new restaurant. The ride
will take around 2 hours.
Limited to just 50 seats - early booking is advised.
Mince Pie Specials
December 26th - January 3rd
Enjoy an atmospheric round trip, and view the beauty of the winter countryside from the comfort of your heated carriage, complete with festive decorations.
The trains are hauled by coal-fired steam locomotives along this historic and scenic railway. The Talyllyn was the first narrow gauge line to be built for steam haulage, and subsequently became the first preserved railway in the world.
Seasonal light refreshments are included.
