Day Rover

One day's unlimited travel from any station

Adult:  £14.00
Over 60s:  £12.50
Unaccompanied Child (5-15): £7.00
Child (5-15): £2.00

'Kids go for 2 Quid' when accompanied by an Adult or Over 60.

Children - 'Kids go for 2 Quid'

New for 2012: Children aged 5 - 15 years accompanied by an Adult or Over 60 travel for £2 on any journey (unless the half fare is cheaper).

Unaccompanied children travel at half fare.

Children under 5 years travel FREE.

First Class

Travel in First Class luxury for a supplement of £2.00 (adult), £1.00 (child) per single journey.

Disabled Persons

Both the disabled passenger and their carer travel with 20% discount off the adult fare.

Eight Day Runabout Ticket

Travel as often as you like during any consecutive eight day period. You can only purchase these at Tywyn Wharf station.

Adults: £42
Over 60s: £37.50
Unaccompanied Children: £21
Children accompanied by Adult/Over 60: £6
Dogs: £9

12 Month Season Tickets

Travel as often as you like during a 12 month period on normal trains shown in the timetable. You can only purchase these at Tywyn Wharf station.

Adults: £56
Over 60s: £50
Unaccompanied Children: £28
Children accompanied by Adult/Over 60: £8
Dogs: £9

National Rail Discount

Anyone arriving at Tywyn by National Rail train on the day of travel is entitled to a 20% discount off any full priced ticket. This includes Rovers and Day Rangers.
Please present your valid National Rail ticket when purchasing your Talyllyn Railway ticket.

Group rates

Reduced fares are available for  groups of 15 and over. See party bookings for further information.

Great Little Trains of Wales (GLTW) discount card

A GLTW card entitles the holder to a 20% discount for a return trip on each of the 10 railways that comprise the GLTW (including the Talyllyn Railway) and is valid for 12 months from the date the first journey is made. Cards cost £10 and are available from www.greatlittletrainsofwales.co.uk. They are also available from the Talyllyn Railway booking office either in person or by post to:

The cardholder can also take advantage of discounts that have been arranged with selected accommodation providers close to many of the railways. See the individual railway pages on www.greatlittletrainsofwales.co.uk for more details.

Dogs

Dogs may be conveyed in the compartment with the passenger, provided that the other passengers do not object.

How to Pay

You can pay by cash at any station booking office (or the Guard on the train if the station is unmanned). In addition, at Tywyn Wharf and Abergynolwyn stations we are able to accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and Solo cards.

We accept company cheques for group bookings.
