The Talyllyn Railway Letter Service for letters and postcards operates from:-

  • Tywyn Wharf,
  • Dolgoch Falls, and
  • Abergynolwyn.

Items for posting can be handed in at booking offices at the above stations and to the guard on the train, at the other stations.

Items sent 'To be called for' can only be transmitted to staffed stations, when the addressee collects the item from the station of destination.

Items sent 'To be posted on arrival' are transferred to the Postal system so that Royal Mail may deliver the item to the address shown on it. In either case the item must have the appropriate Railway Letter Stamp(s) and Postage Stamp(s) affixed.

Normally on the Talyllyn Railway letters and cards are sent 'To be posted on arrival at Tywyn Wharf.'
