How You Can Help
How you can help
The Talyllyn Railway runs trains for the enjoyment of thousands of visitors across the world every year. The railway operates Victorian steam locomotives and carriages that are kept to meticulous standards, the engines and carriages run on track that is kept to the best possible standards. All of this costs lots of money and the Railway relies on financial support and is always grateful for donations and offers of support to help keep the wheels turning for this and the next generation of visitors.
Talyllyn Holdings Limited (Registered in England and Wales No. 511996) is a registered
charity number 1089053. It is the vehicle by which the Talyllyn Railway Preservation
Society controls and has ownership of the Railway.
As a registered charity, we can increase the value of donations from anyone who pays
UK Income Tax. This is by us recovering the Income Tax which you have already paid, at
no extra cost to you, all you have to do is complete and return to us a simple Gift Aid
What interested you may not always interest your family, but a gift in your Will
could reduce the Inheritance Tax payable by your heirs, as donations of money or
property to registered charities – such as Talyllyn Holdings Limited – are excluded from
the valuation of your estate. Legacies.
