TRPS Accommodation List

This page is intended primarily for assistance to members of the Talyllyn Railway Preservation Society requiring accommodation in or near Tywyn on the mid-Wales coast. However, it may be useful to others wishing to visit the area.

This list has been compiled from various published sources with amendments and additions; Secretary [at] talyllyn [dot] co [dot] uk (the compiler) would be grateful for notification of any changes or corrections. Please note that the compiler, the Talyllyn Railway Company or Preservation Society does not recommend or accept responsibility for the standards of any establishment.

Llechfan

The Talyllyn Railway has a hostel, Llechfan, on the Wharf station site which may be used, subject to availability, by members of the Society working on the Railway. Accommodation is self-catering and in bunk beds and is charged at £5.00 per night for those in employment, £3.00 for others. These rates are doubled for those working for less than half their stay.

Aberdovey

There are a number of hotels and other forms of accommodation in Aberdovey, about four to six miles from Tywyn Wharf Station.
