Outdoor Work

Outdoor Work Programme 2012

The Track Gang maintains the track, bridges, buildings and hedges along the railway. The work can be strenuous, but it takes place in one of the most majestic settings you could wish to find. If you feel like a holiday with a difference, join in one of the three Outdoor Weeks (see some photographs from recent activities) which are organised throughout the year in early November, early Spring, and in the Summer. Evening entertainment is also provided during the Autumn and Spring weeks. However, you are welcome to volunteer at any time.
