A few recent photos (and one older one)

Down at Wharf, work is now underway on rebuilding the north side wall of the Railway Shop (the side of the original building that faces Neptune Road). David Mitchell has kindly sent these photographs:

Scene inside the shop.

View from outside as the north wall is carefully removed.

The recently relaid track and reinstated wagon turntable on the Wharf edge.

The next two photos are of No. 3 "Sir Haydn" at Wharf in December, with a special train. This was probably the first train to visit the new station building since it was completed externally.

Finally, David has also contributed this photo of the late Pat Garland firing No.4 on 9th May 1953.
