No. 5 Midlander Photos
To mark the 50th anniversary of its arrival on the railway on 24th March 1957,
reassembly work on the railway's Ruston diesel No.5 Midlander reached a stage
that allowed the engine to be trial started for the first time in two years at
the weekend and a short trip under its own power up and down the back road.
