Five Celebrate 40 Years Volunteering on the Talyllyn

The evening of 26th July 2008 saw a joint celebration of 40 years volunteering on the Talyllyn Railway.

Paul Shuttleworth, Gareth Jones, Dale Coton, Rod Hannah and John Hague (below in front of No 2 Dolgoch) very kindly hosted an evening train up the line for those who wished to come along and celebrate with them.

Before the train was a fantastic buffet at Wharf, where most people ate on the platform due to the lovely weather.

At Abergynolwyn, there were a few speeches before heading back to Tywyn and the pub. Flowers were presented to long suffering wives (and a specially wrapped bone for Billie) to thank them for putting up with the trains for so long!

A good time was had by all.
