Santa Specials and Carol Train, 20th December 2008

It's not Christmas without a trip to 'Plas Nadolig' to see Father Christmas and his merry band of Elves . The 20th December saw the first of the very popular Talyllyn 'Santa Specials' running between Wharf and Dolgoch.

The train was headed by No 4 'Edward Thomas' in the guise of 'Peter Sam' and each carriage named after one of Santa's reindeers.

The Carol Train later in the day was also very busy, with Abergynolwyn Silver Band providing the entertainment at Aberygynolwyn Station. The Carol Singers were treated to mince pies in between a selection of Welsh and English carols, and a raffle was held to raise money for charity. It was a lovely evening capturing the spirit of Christmas and everyone enjoyed themselves singing their hearts out!
