August 2008 - No 7 'Tom Rolt' update

Pendre staff and volunteers have made steady progress on No 7 'Tom Rolt'.  The boiler has returned to Pendre after repairs. The boiler will be reattached to the frames for refitting and testing of mud hole doors and washout plugs.

Work is continuing on de-rusting the bits and bobs stored in wagons and giving them a fresh coat of paint as needed. Once the boiler has been tested then the cladding will be put back on and she will start to look like an engine again.

Thanks to Ray Reid for the photographs.
