Outdoor Winter Work Programme 2008 / 2009

Dates for your diary

Looking for a holiday with plenty of exercise, lovely scenery and fresh air? Why not come along and help the Talyllyn Railway this winter?

Keith and Lawrence enjoying the sunshine

Gathering data for the relaying at milepost 6 in terrible weather conditions!

The list of tasks includes laying some of the Trecwn rail during the November Outdoor Week, also during the winter we will be concentrating on tamping with the Matisa and hand held machines to help reduce the backlog of tamping. The Outdoor Week in the spring will include some resleepering on the extension near milepost 7.
If you have some spare time do come along and enjoy the lovely Welsh weather and satisfaction of a job well done!
