Young Members Day, Saturday August 27th

Saturday 27th August was Young Members Day, when the railway was run entirely by members of the Young Members Group. Paul Knapton has kindly sent these photographs.

The night before saw hectic activity by members of the Young Members Group (YMG) making the final preparations for the big day.

Part of Young Members day was a display of TR diesel locomotives.  One of which, number 10, is the YMG summer project for this year.  Two volunteers (Dicky Garvey and Pippa McCanna) are seen in the paint shop rubbing down the paintwork in readiness for applying the final colour (Talyllyn Green).
