Royal visit on Wednesday 13th July

We are honoured and delighted to be able to announce that, on July 13th 2005, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will arrive by steam train at Tywyn Wharf Station to tour the new museum and unveil a plaque to officially open the new Tywyn Wharf Station Building.

The normal service that morning will be suspended and trains will operate to a special timetable.

The redevelopment at Wharf Station has been made possible by the grant funding received from the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Wales Tourist Board, the Welsh Development Agency, the Welsh Assembly Government, Gwynedd County Council and the Council for Museums in Wales (CyMal), complemented by the hard work and generous donations from members and friends.
