Have A Go Gala July 2010

Pictures from the weekend...

It was all go in Tywyn last weekend as the Have A Go Gala took over the railway. Llechfan Garden Railway was open and we had a special visitor in the form of a 71/4 gauge No 4 Edward Thomas which offered rides up and down Wharf Station car park.

Several Driver Experiences ran between Wharf and Brynglas and these proved very popular. No 8 Merseysider returned as the 'Diesel Driver for a Fiver' and kept the blockman at Pendre busy with regular runs to Wharf.

There were also several model railways taking over the Slater Room in the Museum and plenty of sponsored trains ran with special headboards.

The Saturday evening train proved popular with many exhibitors taking a ride and ending up back at Wharf where the bar was open.

A big Thank You to everyone who was involved in organising the Gala, you worked really hard to create a special and fun event!

Thank you to David Rowbotham and Ben Abbott for the photos.
