Good Friday's 'Stations at Stations' Train

On Good Friday, 10th April, the Talyllyn, in collaboration with Tywyn Churches Together, ran a "Stations at Stations" special train. The event was conceived by Ian Evans, a Talyllyn volunteer and Lay Reader, and the event was attended by Andrew John, the Bishop of Bangor.

The event started in the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum, and proceeded up the line to Nant Gwernol and back, stopping at most stations where a Bible reading  was given (in English and Welsh), together with a brief homily. The train, which was hauled by No. 1 'Talyllyn', was well patronised, and the weather stayed fine despite the forecast! A retiring collection was made for Bishop Cleophas Lunga, in the
diocese of Matabeleland, Zimbabwe.
