Talyllyn Railway Drivers' Meeting 2000

The annual Drivers' Meeting took place on 26th. November, 2000; of 18 drivers and 11 passed firemen who had driven steam-hauled passenger trains during 2000, 24 were present (accounting for 90% of trips) and others had submitted written comments. The meeting commenced at about 0940 and closed at 1543 with breaks for coffee in the morning and lunch (one hour) at midday.

Driver Training

It has been decided not to select a short list of firemen to receive preference in booking an extra week's firing in 2001. However, the increased train service and various special events will somewhat ease the booking situation.
Drivers are still encouraged to give training appropriate to firemen's experience and level of competence.
