SPECIAL TRAINS, WHARF EXHIBITION & EVENING EVENTS NOW SOLD OUT
There is still plenty going on at the event without holding tickets for the above events – entry to the site is FREE. Talyllyn Explorer tickets are still available with plenty of train services throughout the weekend to ride. Duke is will be giving footplate rides at Wharf and of course the Fan Tent provides a great opportunity to meet up with friends old and new.
The Awdry Extravaganza celebrates the life and legacy of the Rev. W. Awdry, creator of Thomas the Tank Engine and one of the earliest volunteers on the Talyllyn Railway.
With 2025 marking 80 years since the publication of the first Railway Series book, this three-day event is the ultimate celebration of the Rev. W. Awdry’s most enduring creation.
The ever-popular Sir Handel, Rusty and Fred return to the Talyllyn, bringing with them other special guests from the Island of Sodor such as Duke the Lost Engine and Mike the Small Engine!
We really hope you’ll join us as this event is set to be our last Extravaganza for a while.
EVENT ACTIVITIES
Duke the Lost Engine and Mike the Small Engine will be visiting across the long weekend.
