Back to the 70s timetable!
April 30 – May 1
In the early 1970’s the railway was somewhat shorter, with the passenger services only running as far as Abergynolwyn. This meant that the frequency of services was much greater, with up to 12 departures a day from Wharf!
Well – for two days only we are turning the clock back 50 years and recreating the timetable (to follow), with intensive services between Wharf and Abergynolwyn, and a shuttle from Abergynolwyn to Nant Gwernol.
Lots of fun, lots of trains, lots of chances to get on, get off and explore! The timetable will be uploaded soon. On the day we are only selling explorer tickets, no compartments will be available on these trains. Book onto the first train you wish to catch, you then have the freedom to travel on any other service during the day!
Sunday Evening (1st May) we will have a live band at Wharf station playing a selection of the best of the 70’s – with real ale and plenty of other drinks on offer!
