The Talyllyn Railway is delighted to announce that it is now able to make plans for the phased re-opening of the Railway in its 70th anniversary year.

Following the Welsh Government’s announcement of the careful relaxation of regulations with respect to the Coronavirus Covid 19 pandemic, we’ll be re-opening in phases to ensure the sately of our visitors, staf and volunteers.

The shop at Wharf Station has already opened, initially for mornings only, from 10 am until 1 pm and will resume its usual opening hours from 9 am until 3 pm from April 26th. Hot drinks and cake are available to take-away from the shop. The online shop is also open with free UK deliveries for orders over £25.

King’s Café at Wharf Station will open from April 26th with heated undercover outdoor seating and a special menu. The Café will be then be open from 9 am until 3 pm daily.

The daily public train service will re-commence on Saturday 1st May. King’s Café at Wharf station will be open from 9 am until the return of the last train and the Tea Rooms at Abergynolwyn Station will be open from 10 am until 3 pm.

Train times may be found on our timetable page.  All bookings must be made in advance through the Talyllyn website, where full details may be found of the special safeguarding arrangements that have been made.
