We were pleased to welcome Lord Dafydd Elis-Thomas, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Sport, to the Railway yesterday (30th July 2018).  Lord Elis-Thomas was touring major attractions in the area, and was pleased to hear about future plans at the Railway.

After viewing locomotive ‘Sir Haydn’ which has recently returned after restoration, Dafydd enjoyed a first class trip from Wharf to Abergynolwyn.  He then continued his tour visiting nearby Castell y Bere.
