Around 1,300 competitors took part in the various races including 586 who ran in the main 14 mile Rotary Challenge race.

For the past few years, the Race Train has been hauled by our Fletcher Jennings ladies, No 1 Talyllyn and No 2 Dolgoch. As No 1 is out of service undergoing a regular major overhaul, our Corris locos No 3 Sir Haydn and No 4 Edward Thomas took over as the race engines.

Despite the muddy conditions and rain, 103 people managed to beat the train this year in the main race. Congratulations to everyone who competed – there was certainly a party atmosphere in Tywyn during the evening!

Many thanks as always to the organisers and volunteers who work very hard to make this race happen.
