First time in over 100 years!

We are incredibly happy that The Corris Railway‘s brand new steam locomotive, No.10, will be visiting us in July this year – but not before our No.3 “Sir Haydn” heads back to it’s old stomping grounds at the Corris in June. This will be the first time two Falcon locomotives have operated together in over 100 years!

“Sir Haydn” will be running on the Corris throughout June and will be star guest at a Gala on the 16th alongside Corris No.7 and No.10 – at the end of it’s stay No.3 will return to Tywyn and bring along it’s younger sibling for the ride, where she will be star guest at our Anything Goes Gala on the 6th & 7th July.

No.10 is a brand new member of the “Falcon” Class, of which three were built for the Corris Railway in 1878. The line closed in 1948 and two years later the Talyllyn Railway purchased Corris No.3 and named her “Sir Haydn” after the former owner of the TR, she is the only remaining original Falcon.

July running dates for Corris No.10 on the Talyllyn to be confirmed – so keep your eyes out!
